STEP PARENT ADOPTION IN ALABAMA

There are just a few conditions for an application to be granted in Alabama Stepparent adoption. These include legal residence within the state. Also your stepchild must live with you for a minimum of 60 days prior to the petition is finalized. You also need your spouse’s written consent as the adoptee’s birth parent and that of the adoptee as well, as long as they are 14 or older.

ADULT ADOPTION IN ALABAMA

In Alabama, the purpose of adult adoption is to provide care and support to mentally challenged or physically disabled people. The family that requires to keep such relations under home care can have an adult among file for relative adoption in AL.
